Nonprofit Management
TAX EXEMPTION. A nonprofit organization that is tax-exempt will not only need to understand what it means to be tax-exempt, but also the array of activities that such status permits. Because there are so many federal laws, regulations and rulings that govern the operations and activities of tax-exempt organizations, we assist our clients through monitoring and evaluation services to help them maintain in compliance.
Board Development
A nonprofit organization can only be as strong as its members on the Board of Directors. As the backbone of the nonprofit organization, it is vital that each board member understands his or her roles, duties and loyalties such as to allow the Board, as a unit, to make informed decisions. Our training and organizational support to our clients in the area of board training includes, but is not limited to, formation and governance, strategic planning, development of policies and procedures, financial management and planning, executive management and transitions, corporate compliance, personnel administration, board development, monitoring and evaluation, and board retreat facilitation.
Resource Development and Fundraising
The biggest challenge in any nonprofit is how to raise money and leverage resources in order to sustain the organization’s business. During a time when corporate scrutiny is at its peak, it will be important for the nonprofit to gain and maintain the trust of its funding resources. We assist our clients in not only writing grants and developing strategic alliances to maximize monetary and human resources, but we also help our clients ensure that resources are spent in a responsible and prudent manner through administration services.
